Kim Bearden – Elmwood Cemetery

Kim Bearden was born in the Baptist Hospital on Union Avenue and was raised in the metropolitan Memphis area. She graduated from Southaven High School and the University of Memphis. She joined the staff at Elmwood Cemetery in 1998. After 25 years, she’s collected some interesting, fun, and sometimes bizarre stories to share about her journey to becoming the Executive Director of the most beautiful historic cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. Kim has published several articles and one book about Elmwood Cemetery. She is married to Memphis filmmaker and historian Willy Bearden.
