February 12th, 2020. Georgia Bohannon will favor us with a speech about the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf. Founded in 1959 by the late Mr. and Mrs. John Tayloe. The generosity of the Tayloe family coupled with the tireless efforts of Subsidium resulted in superb education for children afflicted with deafness. Continuously rising within the department from firefighter, driver, Lieutenant and Battalion Chief and since 2016 serves as the Director of Fire Services, the first female to attain this position.
